2019 Santa Elena, Peru

Through Choice Humanitarian and Stevens General Contracting, Dream Woods had the opportunity to participate in building a Children’s library in Santa Elena, Peru this February.
Our Crew of 22 consisted of subcontractors and their family members pooled together through the efforts of SGC.

From a concrete slab to completion in just 5 days. We started at the break of dawn and worked in the rain and sweltering heat till dusk. The drive and determination that overcame any small obstacle that popped up on the project was inspiring and humbling to be a part of.

This completed children's library has electricity, ceiling fans, plumbing, two bathrooms, an inspiring children’s mural painted on the front and is stocked with children's books in English and Spanish.

It is the hope of all involved in the project that this Children’s Library will be a haven and an inspiration of innovative thinking and education starting with the youth of the Community of Santa Elena and spreading outward to the neighboring communities of Piura, Peru.
Dream Woods would like to thank everyone involved. As you can see your efforts and donations can go far in the lives of others. There was tears of appreciation shed by many when the bus pulled away from Santa Elena both by our team and the people there.
Many thanks to all of our donors our families Choice Humanitarian and our team!
